Steak and Potatoes!

The wife did it again! The steak and potatoes were soo good, the husband had 2nds and 3rds!! I'm starting to relax while cooking, it's making it much easier.

Smothered Pork Chops!!!

The wife remembered when the husband said "smothered the pork chops." And this time before the wife could ask how was dinner, the husband said in a very hearty tone "the food was REAL GOOD LOVE."

Crawfish Pasta!

The wife was feeling really good about her meal; she used fresh seasoning and everything. As time passed , as it always does; the wife returned to the kitchen and realized the husband plated his food and didn't eat it all. The wife confusingly asked the husband "you didn't like the pasta?"  The husband replies in a very unconvincingly tone "I fixed too much, I'll eat the rest later."  He never said he liked the pasta :(

The wife decided to make crabmeat and shrimp pies, she later asked the husband 'what did he think?" The husband replied,  "they are good ,but( very looong pause) they are kind of dry, I will need some dipping sauce." The wife replied with -"I AGREE"!There's a first time for everything.

Pancakes!

The husband says" I was thinking about IHOP, but you know how IHOP is on Sundays." The wife says "honey I can cook you some pancakes." The husband immediately says "NO, it won't be the same!"

My First Meatloaf!

The wife decides to try her hand at meatloaf and she thinks she did a good job for her first time. The husband looks at the meatloaf and says "it doesn't look like normal meatloaf but I'm sure its good." Time passes by and the wife asked the husband "what did you think?" The husband responds "It was GOOD, I ate it all! You don't believe me?  "Check the trash, you did good." Should I start checking the trash?

Rice!

The wife asked the husband if he wanted her to cook some rice, the husband reluctantly said yes. A few minutes passed and the husband asked the wife "did you add salt to the water"? The wife says, "yes, I can cook rice"! The husband responded with an "oh, okay".

The wife is on a break, the husband cooked a BIG pot of GUMBO!

Smother Those!

The wife decides to bake pork chops with rice and french style string beans as sides. The wife notices the next morning the husband did not eat his food; she asked why and he replies, I had a big sandwich leftover from lunch. Finally, today he eats and says, they were kind of TOUGH, they were flavored GOOD but those are thick chops, you got to smother those.

Follow the Instructions!

The wife decides to cook something different, beef and broccoli it is.  Remembering to just cook and follow the instructions, tonight's dinner was another success. Although, the broccoli was a little over-cooked the husband said,  I LIKE IT, keep it up.

Hamburgers!

The wife tells the husband she is going to use the hamburger patties as taco meat, the husband says okay. The wife later ask the husband how was the tacos? They were TERRIBLE, I think that meat was just made for hamburgers. The wife asks why didn't you tell me that, when I told what I was going to do? The husband responds, I didn't know how it was going to taste, you should have just made HAMBURGERS!

I'm not Hungry!

The husband comes home about 5:45pm and ask the wife, oh you're cooking? The wife responds, I thought you were going to eat what was here.  I'll go and buy some chicken breast real quickly and cook something. The wife leaves and shortly returns with the chicken and decides she will saute' it with long grain wild rice and sweet peas as sides. The meal is finally done! The wife brings the husband his plate of food and before she can sit it down, the husband says, oh, I'm not Hungry.

Clean Plate Award

I’ve been nominated a thousand times or more and always kind of won by default. I’m up against a lot of competition, there are a million and one restaurants out there. I’ve been told to stop changing the plans in the midst of it and not to take it soo seriously. Tonight I did just that and won the CLEAN PLATE award by a landslide. I like to thank my sister Kiana who always jokes about my cooking and my sister Keesha for the amazing Lasagna recipe and last but not least my husband for honoring me with this prestigious award.
