Smothered Pork Chops

Sooo I've cooked chops before, BBQ and baked, however, I never smothered them.  I scored big with this one, I received the clean plate award from both daddy and daughter. The only problem , there were NOOOOO, leftovers, I like that type of cooking problem.

1 have 99 problems but leftovers ain't one!

Stewed Orka

Remember this, new meal #1 for  the hubby? Believe it or not, I didn't cook it again, after he said he really enjoyed it😕. Well, I had to try it on food critic number 2, will she like ORKA?  Yes, she does, very much! My baby ate it all, look at her little hands holding the orka.  Again, this cooking thing is not soo bad.

Stuffed Chicken

You ever cook something so good, you don't care if anyone else likes it? Well that's the way I felt about my spinach and Monterrey jack cheese stuffed chicken! Our little princess ate all her food while doing happy a dance and Dad asked for more. I think our little buttercup is giving me some cooking magic!

Peppermint Twist

So, I've be cooking up something else,  a hair oil! After, I made the body butter for our little princess (Buttercup Kisses) I said why not make/cook up a hair growth oil for yourself. It's been almost three months since I made it and I'm loving it!

Crawfish Eggrolls

OMG!! I did it!  This was a HUGE hit with Daddy and Daughter, baby girl was able feed herself and did a happy dance! I sent daddy a picture of the eggrolls and he thought they were from a restaurant. WHATTTT!!  When he made it home and had a taste, he said LOVE these are GOOOOODDD!

Hamburger Steak

Finally, me throwing stuff together turned out Good ! My hamburger steak was winner with both Daddy and Daughter! This is how I like to cook, where I can just float around the Kitchen and grab whatever and my family is happy and full! I honestly grab all the seasoning and spices and had my way! I know this is probably the first and last time, I'll  experience this, so I'll accept it with OPEN ARMS! But now,  I'm wondering, were they just hungry? hmmmm!!!

Brussel Sprouts

Dare I say my little one, loves Brussel Sprouts! I did JAZZ them up with a little seasoning and bacon bits. But she really enjoyed it, they were the side to another good steak and potatoes meal.  The meat is not on the plate because, yes she is starting to eat her meat separately.

Turkey Breast

My turkey taste like chicken! I had to ask myself, you  purchased turkey breast, right? Funny, I didn't enjoy this, it was my first time cooking it. I can't put my hands on it, but something was missing. Guess what? Baby girl had two servings, Whatttttt!!!

Pizza

This was an easy one, so I thought. Okay it was easy to make a homemade pizza. However, it didn't appear she enjoyed it as much as I thought she would. I mean who doesn't love pizza?  She only ate one slice, I'll get it next time.

Steak & Potatoes

I don't think you can go wrong with Steak & Potatoes and our little princess agreed.  It was great to see her response to the mix veggies and when Dad chimed in "Eat Your Food My Beautiful" I knew I had a double hitter!

Don't List

We are both anxious to see what she likes and dislikes, so this is truly a reminder that  my DON'T list is probably going to get longer. My don't list was created for Daddy, who remember doesn't-DON'T wants to eat soup for dinner. And my favorite-NOT! If there's too much fat on meat, the entire meal is TERRIBLE. It looks like my little one is going to model this behavior.

Kale Smoothie

Since baby girl enjoyed spinach, I thought Kale would be a winner as well. WRONG! Wellllll, I thought let's try it as a smoothie with one of her favorite fruit-PINEAPPLE. NO GO!   Kale is not a friend of the family, DAD hates it as well.

Corn and Crawfish Bisque

This was an easy one as well, Buttercup loves corn and soft stuff-she had two portions.  On the other hand Dad doesn't like  Bisque, SOUPS or "whatever" for dinner, he ate very little. However, he did say it was good!

Applesauce

We love Sam's Club for the bulk diapers and wipes, so I decided to purchase apple slices, b/c thank Goodness she loves FRUIT! Well there's only sooo many apple slices a ONE YEAR can eat before she gets tired and  they go bad.  Before  I let that happen, I made APPLESAUCE! She enjoyed it, only for one day,  but I know now I can make it.

Beef Stew

Okay, I'm starting to feel myself as I did with Dad, our little sweetie pie LOVED the stew, I even got the scoot dance, like give me MORE.  Although,  DAD did not set a good example by picking over his carrots, COME on DAD!

Sauteed Chicken, Green beans & Cheese Rice

After the pork chops, I thought let's keep this going, she has Always loved chicken, make it special this time. Sooo, I sauteed the chicken and made from scratch, for the FIRST time-Cheese Rice. Yes, I know it's a simple dish, but I never thought about doing it before and it tasted GREAT, despite looking like GRITS! Check out the before and after pics. This little girl is GOOD for my EGO!

Baked Pork Chops

My new little food taster seems to like my cooking, I wonder if it's because she can't say she doesn't like.  However, the baked pork chops were a success and  I'll take what I can get for now.  I think I heard mmmmm!

Buttercup Kisses!

While I was learning my new baby and depending on GERBER for  meals,  I did manage to cook up a body butter for our little princess, who has a touch of eczema. It works wonders on her!! Its been almost a year since I created it and I'm thinking now I may play with a scent or two.  Our little BUTTERCUP has her own body butter.

I had a good for a while, GERBER  was my best friend, I did mix in a little table food here and there,but GERBER was the chef! Just look.  And now, believe it or not she is already showing signs of being picky, like the Husband. Oh No!!

Hi Everyone!!

It has been a while since my last post, almost three years. A  lot has happened, I'm  a MOM!! Now  my goal in the kitchen is to win over my daughter's taste buds, before daddy gets to them. I'll share with you my adventures of being a new mom attempting to cook for a ONE-year old. Stay tuned.
